Inspired by the devastating impact of a tornado in the creator's area, Prepshield was developed to address gaps in emergency response and preparedness. One of its key features requires users' phone numbers for certain functionalities, ensuring accessibility and reliability without collecting sensitive data like passwords. The app aims to empower individuals and families by streamlining emergency planning and providing critical resources at their fingertips. With its innovative approach, Prepshield has garnered recognition, including winning the Congressional App Challenge, and is set to be presented to a congressman in Washington, DC, as well as featured in an upcoming TED Talk.
